House 13 and Terminal 13: How the Two Games Connect

Two Roblox experiences, one creator group, and one official sentence that links them. This page publishes what the official descriptions and records state, separates release order from story order, and names the parts of the connection that nobody has published.

House 13 Is Set Years Before Terminal 13

Nothing on this page is inferred from the two games' names. The connection is stated by the developer on the HOUSE 13 experience page itself.

The official Roblox description for HOUSE 13 [HORROR] contains this line, verbatim:

“Set years before Terminal 13. Find out where the Impostors came from.”

That single line does three jobs. It confirms a relationship with Terminal 13, it places House 13 earlier in the timeline, and it frames House 13 as the game that explains the origin of the Impostors the player is already screening at the front door. Everything else on this page is either an official record field or an explicitly marked gap.

Both experiences are published by the same creator group, Dread Forge (group ID 33501450, verified badge), which is read from the official Roblox games endpoint rather than assumed from the titles. The creator identity matters here: it is what makes the prequel line a statement about the developer’s own continuity rather than a community theory.

Read the last row carefully, because it is the asymmetry that causes most of the confusion. The link is asserted from House 13’s side only. Terminal 13’s own description is written entirely about the terminal shift and gives no House 13 reference, so a player who arrives through Terminal 13 receives no hint that a prequel exists until they go looking for it.

Two different orders

Release Order and Story Order Point Opposite Ways

This is the distinction most answers to the two-game question blur, and the official records settle it without needing any community source.

Release order (official record dates)
  1. Terminal 13: Not Human — record created 2025-10-25
  2. HOUSE 13 — record created 2026-08-06

Terminal 13 reached players first and has the longer track record of the two records.

Story order (official description)
  1. HOUSE 13 — “set years before Terminal 13”
  2. Terminal 13: Not Human — the later setting

In narrative time the house comes first, which is what “prequel” means here.

Editorial advice, not an official rule: if you care about the story reveal, the two sensible orders are chronological (House 13, then Terminal 13) or release order (Terminal 13, then House 13), and they produce opposite experiences. Nothing first-party says one of them is required, so treat this paragraph as this site’s reading rather than a developer instruction. If you are already playing House 13 and only want to get through the nights, the order does not change the mechanics of either game.

Official-record gap

What Nobody Has Published About the Connection

These are the questions the two descriptions do not answer. They are listed so they are not mistaken for facts elsewhere.

  • How long “years” is. The description gives a direction, not a number, and no first-party text dates either setting.
  • Whether any character appears in both games. No official text names a shared character in either direction.
  • Whether the Impostors are the same individuals. House 13 names Impostors; Terminal 13’s description describes travelers who are not what they seem and stops short of naming them. Whether those are one group, one species or two related problems is unstated.
  • Whether either game’s ending is required for the other. No official text conditions one game’s story or completion on the other.
  • Whether content will be added in either direction. Nothing published says House 13 will receive Terminal 13 content, or the reverse.

None of these gaps are filled on this page. A prequel statement is a strong fact and a narrow one: it establishes order and origin intent, and it leaves everything else open. Where the site does have dated facts for House 13 itself, they live on the pages linked below rather than being restated here.

FAQ

House 13 and Terminal 13 Questions

Answered from the official records above, including the questions whose honest answer is that nobody has published one.

Is House 13 connected to Terminal 13?

Yes. The official Roblox experience description for HOUSE 13 [HORROR] states, verbatim: “Set years before Terminal 13. Find out where the Impostors came from.” Both experiences are published by the same creator group, Dread Forge (group ID 33501450, verified badge), read from the official Roblox games endpoint on 2026-09-27.

Which game came first, House 13 or Terminal 13?

Terminal 13 came first as a release. The official Roblox records were created on 2025-10-25 for Terminal 13: Not Human (Universe 9029463012) and on 2026-08-06 for HOUSE 13 (Universe 10642022844), read on 2026-09-27. House 13 comes first as a story: its own description places it years before Terminal 13, so the release order and the story order are opposites.

Do I have to play Terminal 13 to understand House 13?

No first-party source says either game is required for the other. House 13’s description tells you where it sits in the timeline and nothing more, and Terminal 13’s description describes its own night shift without naming House 13. Treat any “must play first” claim, in either direction, as somebody’s opinion rather than stated canon.

Does progress or anything else carry over between the two games?

Nothing published says so. Neither official description mentions shared saves, shared unlocks, shared currency or a transferable account state, and no first-party source describes what, if anything, a House 13 player carries into Terminal 13 or the reverse. That is an official-record gap, not evidence that nothing carries over.

Official record read 2026-09-27. If the developer changes either experience description, this page will be corrected on the date of the next read rather than silently edited.
