House 13 Controls: The Door Console, Windows and Closets

What each control does in HOUSE 13 [HORROR] on Roblox, taken from one recorded session of the build that was live on 2026-09-16. Everything here is labelled observed rather than official, because the developer publishes no control list.

Quick answer

What the House 13 controls actually are

One session of the 2026-09-16 build, watched end to end. Labels below are what the recording shows on screen.

The front door runs on three console controls rather than on a single interact prompt: a blue IMPOSTOR CHECK, a green LET IN and a red CLOSE DOOR, with dialogue options beside them for questioning whoever is outside (observed 01:45–02:12). The rest of the house runs on one shared interact key: it shuts forced windows, holds a closet door closed, and recharges the Signal Jammer.

Two limits matter more than the labels. First, the check control never shows a clear result in the recording, so this page cannot tell you what it reports. Second, letting someone in is not a safe state: admitted visitors later attacked from inside the house at 14:17–14:25, 15:10–15:25 and 26:30–26:38.

No developer-published control list exists for this game. Dread Forge documents none, so no part of this page is an official keybind. Need the decision instead of the controls? Use the front-door screening checklist for whether to open the door, and the beginner guide for what to do first.

The Three Console Controls and What the Recording Shows

Each row separates what was visible on screen from what the same recording never resolves.

ControlColourWhat the recording showsWhat it never shows
IMPOSTOR CHECKBlueSelected in the recording while a visitor stood at the door. The recording never shows a clear pass or fail signal from this control, so the page cannot tell you what it reports or whether it is reliable.
LET INGreenAdmits the visitor. In the recording, four admitted visitors entered across Night 1 and three of them were later recorded attacking from inside the house (14:17–14:25, 15:10–15:25, 26:30–26:38).Nothing observes a guaranteed-safe admission. The only first-party text is the experience blurb: Impostors “will ask to be let in”.
CLOSE DOORRedUsed to refuse a visitor and end the interaction (04:14–04:27, 10:07–10:17).The recording does not show whether closing the door is permanent for that visitor or whether the same visitor can return later.

The console has no official description, so the labels above are transcriptions from the recording, not confirmed keybinds or percentages. The blast door on the house and the pass-only systems some guides describe are not shown in this session, so they are not listed here.

Observed

Door Dialogue Prompts

Questions the console offers, and what the answers are worth.

WHAT DO YOU WANT?WHY MY HOUSE?

The prompts question the visitor while they stand outside. The recording shows the options being offered and the visitor answering, but it does not establish an answer tree, a fixed script that separates a person from an Impostor, or how many prompts are available in a session.

The official experience blurb is the only first-party statement about who is at the door: Impostors “wear their clothes, imitate their voices, and they will ask to be let in”. That is why the prompts are part of the evidence and not a solution.

Observed

One Interact Key Runs the Rest of the House

Windows, closets, the wall rack and the Signal Jammer share the same interaction.

  • Recharge the Signal JammerThe wall unit shows a stability readout that decays through the night; holding the interact key tops it back up (observed 01:23–02:47, readout 89% at first check).
  • Close a forced windowWindows are pushed open from outside and shut by interacting with them (observed 09:58–10:17 and 11:18–11:21).
  • Shut a closet doorA closet that opens on its own is closed by interacting with the door while the warning marker is showing (observed 19:28–19:30).

The same interaction pulls the M1897 shotgun off the corridor rack with six shells loaded (observed 07:47–07:54). That weapon is a house fixture, not a purchase; what the shop sells is itemised separately on the observed item and price page.

Observed chain

The First-Night Objectives, In the Order the Game Gives Them

These prompts appear before the first night begins, and they double as the control tutorial: door, terminal, delivery, jammer.

  1. Step 1Go to the front door
  2. Step 2Read the note
  3. Step 3Go upstairs and order the Jammer
  4. Step 4Wait for the Delivery Outside
  5. Step 5Open the delivery crate
  6. Step 6Place the Signal Jammer

Read as a walkthrough of the opening: the front door first, then the note, then the upstairs request terminal where the Signal Jammer is free, then the delivery outside and the wall socket it goes into. The recording shows this whole chain inside the first two minutes of the session, and it is the sequence that teaches which controls exist before any threat appears.

Evidence boundary

What This Controls Page Cannot Tell You

Stated plainly so the page is not read as a leaked control list or a difficulty manual.

  • The check control’s meaning. No clear signal, no published rule, no measurable reliability.
  • Any timer, rate or probability. The night length, event frequency and threat chances are unpublished, so no countdown appears on this page.
  • Gamepad, mobile and remapping. The observation is a keyboard-and-mouse session; nothing here is a documented binding for any platform.
  • Behaviour after the 2026-09-17 build. The observation predates the newest build, which was not re-recorded; window, closet and jammer interactions are the parts most likely to have been touched by a maintenance update.
  • Anything a fan wiki states without a source. Claims about a scan minigame, an audio tell or a hidden prompt chain are not part of this page unless a recording shows them.

Wrong here? The observed session is public as video q9DqvixrUNs on the build live on 2026-09-16; if a newer recording contradicts a row above, the row is corrected and dated rather than left standing.

FAQ

House 13 Controls: Common Questions

Answers kept inside the observed session of 2026-09-16 and the official badge and blurb text, checked 2026-09-18.

What are the House 13 door controls?

The front-door station in the recording carries three controls — a blue one labelled IMPOSTOR CHECK, a green one labelled LET IN and a red one labelled CLOSE DOOR — next to dialogue options for questioning the visitor (observed 01:45–02:12 on the 2026-09-16 build). No official text describes this console, so every label here is an observation from one session rather than a first-party control list.

Does the Impostor Check button tell you who is an Impostor?

Not in the recording. The control is selected while a visitor is at the door, but the session never shows a clear success or failure signal from it, so no page on this site claims what it reports, how it is decided, or how reliable it is. Treat it as one input and keep the close-door option available.

What happens if you let the wrong person in?

The recording shows the risk from the inside: visitors that had already been admitted later attacked from within the house at 14:17–14:25, 15:10–15:25 and 26:30–26:38, and one of them had to be shot by a teammate. Because an admitted visitor can still turn hostile, admittance is not a safe state — decide before you press LET IN, not after.

Which key opens and closes things in House 13?

The recording is a PC session, where windows, closets, the wall gun rack and the Signal Jammer are all operated with the same interact key, held down for the jammer recharge (observed 01:23–02:47, 07:47–07:54, 11:18–11:21, 19:28–19:30 on the 2026-09-16 build). Dread Forge publishes no control list, and no gamepad or touch layout appears in the recording, so this page does not claim one.

Has anything on this page changed since it was recorded?

The observation is one session of the build that was live on 2026-09-16. HOUSE 13 [HORROR] shipped a newer build on 2026-09-17, and that build was not re-recorded, so a control could have moved or been relabelled since. The page is dated 2026-09-18 and is corrected rather than quietly patched when a new recording contradicts it.
